Asked before buying.
- Is Atomic Reps free?
- Yes. The daily rep in your Slack channel is free for the whole team, level 1 of every topic, plus one insight a day on request and the browser games. The paid plans add practice on demand: every level, any topic, whenever anyone asks. Pro covers one engineer, Team covers the whole workspace.
- Who is Atomic Reps Team for?
- Teams that want practice curated for each individual. Managers set the topics each engineer should grow in, engineers tune their own focus, and on-demand practice serves each person the right questions at the right level.
- What happens when the trial ends?
- Checkout collects a payment method, and nothing is charged until the trial ends: 7 days on Pro, 30 on Team. Pro's trial is one per account: once you have held Pro before, a new Pro checkout is charged at once, with no trial. At the end of a trial, Pro converts at $96 for the year ahead and Team at the price of the size you picked at checkout, with no extra steps. Cancel any time during the trial and you pay nothing. The decision is not final at the charge either: every payment carries a 14-day full-refund window, which you take yourself: Team from Billing Settings in the app, Pro from your account page. Your practice history carries over. No re-install.
- How does billing work?
- Pro and Team are billed annually, with no monthly option. Pro is $96 a year for one engineer. Team is one plan in five sizes, priced in steps rather than per seat: 10 seats $1,560, 25 seats $3,600, 50 seats $6,600, 100 seats $12,000, 250 seats $27,000 a year, and everyone under the ceiling you pick is in. Above 250 seats, contact us. You can move up a size mid-year whenever you outgrow it, and renewal adjusts the size to the seats you actually use, with notice first, so a mid-year charge is never a surprise. Each subscription renews yearly until you cancel, and cancelling stops the next renewal. Atomic Campus is invoiced to the school, with no card and no auto-renew.
- What is Atomic Campus?
- Team for a school: the same product, the same seats, at a school rate. Students and tutors get everything a Team workspace gets, and the school gets the tutor console on top (the Tuesday sheet, the lecture view, syllabus import, exam pause, AI-free weeks) plus question sets written from its own syllabus. Schools, universities, bootcamps and in-house academies all buy the same seat.
- How does a school buy Campus?
- Not with a card. Start a pilot program from the Campus plate, tell us the institution, the class size and the term, and a figure comes back with the order form, the Data Processing Agreement and the compliance pack. The school is invoiced for one licence year, with 30-day terms and no auto-renew; Swedish public buyers get a Peppol e-invoice. Seats belong to the school and move between classes and terms through the year.
- What does Pro lifetime mean?
- One payment of $299 for personal Pro for as long as Atomic Reps sells Pro, guaranteed for at least five years. If we stopped selling Pro inside those five years, you would get the unused months back, pro rata. No renewal and nothing to cancel. The same 14-day full refund applies. It covers one engineer and none of the Team features.
- Can't we just buy Pro for everyone?
- Pro covers one person, not a workspace. It opens Atomic Learn at every level and uncapped practice for that one engineer, and it changes nothing about the workspace. The hub, per-engineer focus, the Apprentice and on-demand practice in Slack all read the workspace's plan, so a room full of Pro subscribers is still a free workspace.
- Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
- Every payment produces a VAT invoice, but checkout itself is pay-now: card, wallet, or a local method such as iDEAL or Bancontact. Polar is our merchant of record, so it collects and remits VAT (including EU B2B reverse charge) and sends the invoice with the order confirmation. Tick "I'm purchasing as a business" at checkout, then put your company name, address, and VAT number on the invoice yourself from the Polar customer portal, which regenerates the PDF. If procurement holds the card, email hello@atomicreps.com and we send them a checkout link with your team size already set. The self-serve plans have no net terms, and no way to pay by manual bank transfer or wire. If your finance process needs one of those, write to the same address and we scope it with you rather than through a checkbox.
- Can I buy this from my team learning budget?
- Yes, though it fits more naturally under the AI tooling line: the budget that already covers Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code. Atomic Reps is practice for the engineers who use those tools, and it is priced to fit that budget. If your org routes it through learning and enablement instead, that works too.
- Security, Slack scopes, and data handling?
- See the security page for Slack scopes, data flow, retention, encryption, subprocessors, customer-code policy, and deletion/export. Atomic Reps is not yet SOC 2 certified; a standard Data Processing Agreement is published and applies on every plan, Free included.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. On Team, cancel from Billing Settings in the app; on Pro, from your account page. Your plan stays active through the end of the current billing year; cancellation stops the next renewal. No penalties, no lock-in. One thing to know: on Team, when the plan ends, we remove the workspace's per-member layer (the practice targeting set up for each engineer, and the workspace's link to their answers). We cannot restore it, even if you resubscribe. Each engineer keeps their own practice record; the one exception is deleting the workspace itself, which also deletes the answers made inside it.
